Core Knowledge/Core Virtues
We will read and analyze different poems like "By Myself" (What Your Third Grader Needs to Know, p. 8), by orally reciting it, and look at "Adventures of Isabel (p. 6). We will study the idiom, "One rotten apple spoils the whole bunch", "Let bygones by bygones," "Actions speak louder than words," and "His bark is worse than his bite" (p. 59-61). Our virtue of the month is respect and responsibility. We need to treat others with high regard. We need to do our part for the groups that make up the whole.
